Youth Ministries

At Grace Community Christian Church, the youth are encouraged to develop their own personal relationship with God. the Bible stories and characters that were introduced during the elementary years are revisited in the context of their growing independence. Questions are encouraged. GCCC considers the family an integral part of spiritual and biblical education. the lessons parallel the scriptures that are taught to the adults during worship, starting with the key questions, “how was your week?” and”how does this scripture apply considering the highlights of your week?”

Our young adults (youths) can gather and speak freely about their interpretations of the sermon and how they feel about it. The teacher may give exercises that push them to think creatively with their faith in mind.

Middle School students in the home are spending an increasing amount of time unsupervised. During this time, friendships often change. this leads to active discussions about how the pursuit of a closer relationship with God affects some of the decision making of this turbulent time.

High School students are beginning to think of future life when they are away at college or pursuing a new career. during discussions we talk about how their faith will affect their lives and provide them with the tools to delve into the Bible outside of the classroom environment, we feel this is an important part of Bible studies.
